Threaded rod, also known as threaded bar or studding, is a fully threaded steel rod used for structural support, suspension and fixing work across the construction, electrical, mechanical and HVAC sectors. Our range covers threaded rods and pre-cut cut studs in Bright Zinc Plated (BZP), Hot Dipped Galvanised (HDG) and A4/A316 stainless steel, in thread sizes from M6 to M24 and tensile grades 4.8, 8.8 and stainless A4.

Stainless Steel Threaded Rod & Bar (A4 / A316)
For coastal, marine, water treatment, food-grade and chemical environments, our stainless steel threaded rod and stainless steel threaded bar deliver maximum corrosion resistance. Manufactured in A4 (A316) marine-grade stainless steel, this stainless studding is ideal for external and washdown installations where BZP or HDG would not last. Available from M6 to M24.

Threaded Rod FAQs
What is the difference between threaded rod, threaded bar and studding?
They are the same product. “Threaded rod”, “threaded bar”, “studding” and “all-thread” all describe a rod threaded along its full length. Which term is used comes down to region and trade preference.
What is a cut stud?
A cut stud is a threaded rod pre-cut to a set length, ready to install without cutting on site.
Do you supply stainless steel threaded rod and bar?
Yes. We stock A4 (A316) marine-grade stainless steel threaded rod and bar from M6 to M24 for corrosive and external environments.
Which grade of threaded rod do I need?
Grade 4.8 suits general fixing, Grade 8.8 is for high-load structural work, and A4 stainless is for corrosion resistance.
