Match rods with the correct size of:
HVAC support frame? Use M10 HDG
External rooftop bracket? Use M12 or M16 HDG or Stainless A4
Ceiling cable tray hanging? M8 BZP will suffice for short spans
M10 or M12 with HDG finish is best for weather resistance and weight capacity.
Yes, use a rod cutter or grinder. Re-coat cut HDG rods with zinc spray to prevent rust.
Not necessarily. Stainless is more corrosion-resistant, but HDG steel is generally stronger in tension unless using A4-80 spec.
